How to recover data from a crashed hard drive

Hard drive crash can cause huge loss to you if you have saved important and confidential data in your Mac. Hard drive crash can occur either because of the physical damage to the hard drive or due to logical failure. Now for recovery of data from hard drive you can follow either of the methods.

Recover data from the backup of the hard drive.
You can also do recovery using the image of Mac, in case you have created priorly.

If both the above methods cant be used in your case then ??? Then also you dont need to panic because you still have left with an unbeatable option of data recovery using a third party software or taking help from a data recovery expert to extract and recover data from crashed hard drive.

But before taking further action you should confirm it first that its a hard drive crash or a boot failure that is stopping you to access hard drive. So, for that you just need to follow some easy steps. First connect your crashed Mac to another working Mac using a firewire cable. Then power on the crashed Mac by holding the T key. With this procedure if hard drive from crashed Mac is visible then their is a sure-shot problem in the operating system of the non-working Mac. So just re-install the operating system and get free from your problem.

But in the other case if your hard drive is still not showed up while connecting with the other Mac then your hard drive has a problem. But you can recover your data from a crashed hard drive, even if your hard drive have physical damage.

Now two main possibilities exist.

Firstly if hard drive have logical problem then you can easily recover data using data recovery softwares like Stellar Phoenix Mac Data Recovery. This recovery tool can recover upto 100% of your data from the hard drive suffering a logical failure.

Second possibility is that your hard drive have physical damage and data recovery software may not be the cure for this solution. How to use PROXY to download all OEM apps

Requirements:
- any WP7/8 device (Nokia, Samsung, LG, HTC...), unlocked phone not needed
- is great for Lumia 520 to install full version of Here Drive+ without region licence limitation
- SysApp Pusher from WP Store
- install SysApp Pusher
- Go to WiFi settings on phone
- Connect to WiFi network
- Click on active connection (or tap and hold) to edit it
- Enable PROXY and enter this data:
Proxy: 117.135.139.179
Port: 8888
- save and exit
Proxy 2 (if first not work, here another one):
Proxy: 103.13.29.118
Port: 8888
- go to region setting and change region to United States
- confirm to restart phone
- after restart, check in your browser did connect to PROXY
- start SysApp Pusher on phone, and find which app you want install (if you have Nokia go to Samsung or HTC)
- click on app to install it... notice: sometimes you must repeat process since succeed
- after you get message for retry download, turn off proxy in WiFi setting
- now you retry download and you have this app installed...
NOTICE: seems since GDR3 update, this not work (very well)... on my Lumia 920 cant install anything with proxy...

Force Caps Lock Num Lock and Scroll Lock Keys Behavior Using Windows Registry

Its a very common problem among Windows users. Whenever Windows starts, it automatically turns "CapsLock", "NumLock" or "ScrollLock" keys On at login screen even if you turned the keys off before the login or boot screen.

If you want to permanently change their behavior, then you can use following steps to do so:

1. Type regedit in RUN dialog box and press Enter. Itll open Registry Editor.

2. Now go to following key:

To change the behavior for currently logged in user:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelKeyboard

To change the behavior for all users:
HKEY_USERS.DEFAULTControl PanelKeyboard

3. Now in right-side pane, change value of "InitialKeyboardIndicators" string value to any of following:

0 - Turn all indicators Off (NumLock, CapsLock, ScrollLock)
1 - Turn CapsLock On
2 - Turn NumLock On
3 - Turn CapsLock and NumLock On
4 - Turn ScrollLock On
5 - Turn CapsLock and ScrollLock On
6 - Turn NumLock and ScrollLock On
7 - Turn all indicators On (NumLock, CapsLock, ScrollLock)

4. Thats it. Exit registry editor and restart your system to take effect.

best practices : The basic input /output system (BIOS) must support booting from DVD .the boot oder must be set to start the booting from a DVD instead of the hard drive .

if you are installing on existing machine take the backup of the data .

To perform clean installation :

1. Turn on your computer and insert the installation media on your computer where ypu want to install windows 7 .

2. Then it start loading windows 7 on your computer automatically.

3. After loading windows 7 successfully .
4. Enter the language to install . time and currency format and keyboard to input method. click NEXT the "install windows 7 " .

5. click on install now button .

6. Then it showa the license agreement windows.

7. check the I accept the license terms and click next .

8. Select CUSTOM ( advanced ) option . then the screen prompting ypu to select location to install setup.

9. click drive options (advanced) .
10. click on new link . you are then prompted to allot the size of the disk .

11. Enter the volume size that you need and click APPLY to create partitions to install windows 7 and click NEXT . windows will begin installation.

12. Once it completes the installation , the computer will be restarted .

13. After successful installation of windows 7 ,it opens a set up windows to set password for your user account .

14. Enter the password in all text boxes and click NEXT the set up window opens to enter the product key .
15. Enter the product key and click NEXT then you will get window to set time and date on your computer .

16. Select network type amd click next . then windows finalizes the set up and start to prepare ypur windows 7 desktop

18. FINALLY DESKTOP OPENS .
