Good news for all Windows Live Hotmail users. Now Live team has enabled FREE POP3 access to all users so you can access you email account using email clients such as Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.
Here is how
use following settings to setup POP3 access:
POP server: pop3.live.com (Port 995)
POP SSL required: Yes
User name: Your Windows Live ID (for example yourname@hotmail.com)
Password: Your password
SMTP server: smtp.live.com (Port 25 or 587)
Authentication required: Yes (this matches your POP username and password)
TLS/SSL required: Yes
